Filippo Alberti is a Principal Associate in the Antitrust competition and trade group.
His practice focuses on various aspects of EU and Italian competition law and foreing investments regime, mergers, antitrust compliance, anti-competitive agreements, cartels and dominance investigations, consumer law, regulatory affairs and related litigation. He regularly assists multinational clients in these areas having experience across a wide range of sectors including media, telecoms, tech, energy, transports, automotive, banking, insurance and manufacturing.
At the beginning of his professional career, he worked at the Italian Antitrust Authority and the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission and then in a major energy company in Italy, in a large European broadcaster as well as in another international law firm.
Filippo is author of several publications and regularly lectures on competition law at the Université Catholique de Lyon.
In 2025, he was recognised in "Forty Under 40 Lawyers 2025" Report by LegalCommunity.it as 'Elite' for EU & Competition and as 'Highly Recommended' for IP & TMT.

- Assisting a telecom operator before the Italian Antitrust Authority and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in connection with the acquisition of the share capital of a company mainly active in the provision of wholesale network services, securing, in both cases, a swift and unconditional clearance
- Assisting a 50/50 joint venture two telecom operators for the FDI and 5G Golden Power compliace to remedies previosly imposed by the Italian Government
- Assisting a company in the context of a proceedings (and related parallel administrative trial) opened by the Italian Antitrust Authority in relation to energy price increases and the alleged lack of compliace with a domestic law which introduced some urgent and extraordinary measures for the energy sector
- Assisting a leading global automotive manufacturer concerning the strategic cooperation with another major player concerning the jjoint development of new platforms and technologies for vehicles
- Assisting an OTT platform in several administrative and judicial proceedings as well as in the tender for the awarding of the media right licences
