Freshfields advises CVC Capital Partners VIII on the acquisition of Unilever Teas for €4.5bn
Freshfields has advised CVC Capital Partners VIII, part of one of the world’s leading private equity and investment advisory firms, on its €4.5 billion agreement to acquire ekaterra, the holding company of the global Unilever Teas business on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
ekaterra is the world's leading Tea business, with a portfolio of 34 brands including Lipton, Pukka, Tazo, T2, and PG tips, across 82 countries. The business generated revenues of around €2 billion in 2020. Details of the transaction can be found here.
