Victoria is a partner in our private capital group and specialises in private equity, M&A and joint venture transactions, often in the real estate and hotels sectors.
She advises private equity investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and corporates. Her practice has a particular focus on large scale, complex and often multi-jurisdictional transactions.
Recent work
- Advising Pandox AB (publ) on the acquisition of 3 aparthotels in London for £230m, and on the related acquisition financing provided by Handelsbanken AB (publ). The aparthotels are operated by Axiom Hospitality as Residence Inns by Marriott, and become the first assets operated under Marriott franchises by Pandox.
- Advising Leonardo Group on its proposed acquisition of the Zien Group comprising 12 hotels in the Netherlands from affiliates controlled by KSL Capital Partners LLC and their partner Garden Capital Group.
- CPPIB on its acquisition of Round Hill Capital’s minority stake in its existing joint venture, Round Hill European Student Accommodation Partnership, and the full acquisition of Round Hill’s “Nido Living” property management business, a leading European PBSA operator and manager, having acted on the establishment of the JV originally.
- Advising Covid vaccine developer Moderna on its leasehold acquisition agreements and construction arrangements in respect of two buildings totalling 145,000 sq. ft. at the Harwell campus for its Moderna Innovation and Technology Centre campus, a facility for research, development and manufacturing.
- Advising the Pandox AB group on its acquisition of The Queens Hotel, a 232-room property in central Leeds, UK, with a total acquisition price of approx. £53m.
- Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on the establishment of a new joint venture (JV) focused on the European hospitality sector with Hamilton-Pyramid Europe (‘Hamilton’), and on the joint venture’s seed investment – the acquisition for the W Rome.
- Advising the WeWork senior secured noteholders ad hoc group on cross-border aspects of WeWork’s complex US Chapter 11, including the UK and European leasehold estate restructuring.
