Emily is an associate in our antitrust practice, based in Washington, DC. Emily assists clients facing global mergers, merger challenges, and investigations by leading antitrust agencies including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
Prior to joining Freshfields, Emily was a legal intern both at the FTC and the DOJ. Before law school, she worked in growth strategy and M&A advisory for clients in aerospace, defense, and technology markets.
Emily has worked for clients across a number of industries including technology, energy and life sciences.

- Roivant Sciences on (a) its $7.1bn sale of Telavant, the developer of IBS treatments, and (b) its $1.2bn sale of Dermavant, the developer of immuno-dermatology treatment.
- Aristocrat Leisure in the $1.2bn acquisition of NeoGames, a content and technology provider for the online real money gaming industry.
- Japan Tobacco Inc. on its $2.4bn acquisition of Vector Group Ltd., the fourth largest tobacco company in the United States.
- Novartis on its €2.7 billion acquisition of MorphoSys AG.
- Coupa on its $8.0bn sale to Thoma Bravo.
- Viterra in its proposed $34bn merger with Bunge Limited, a global agribusiness player.
- The committee of independent directors of the board of Qualtrics in the $12.5B all-cash sale to a consortium of Silver Lake and CPPIB.
