Isabel is an associate in our antitrust, competition and trade practice in Spain. She advises leading Spanish and international clients on complex matters spanning EU and Spanish competition law, with particular experience in multi-jurisdictional merger control, foreign direct investment, antitrust investigations and strategic compliance.
Her practice combines transactional and behavioural expertise. Isabel regularly advises on merger control and foreign investment proceedings involving multiple jurisdictions and regulators, as well as on commercially sensitive questions concerning strategic conduct, distribution arrangements and competition compliance.
She has experience across a broad range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals and healthcare, energy and infrastructure, transport, technology, private equity and industrial manufacturing. Her work includes advising clients on strategically significant transactions, complex regulatory reviews and contentious antitrust matters.
Before joining Freshfields, Isabel worked at a leading Spanish law firm, where she advised major domestic and international clients on complex merger control proceedings, foreign investment reviews and antitrust investigations.
