Dr. Stefan Schröder

Stefan is a Partner in our Dusseldorf office. He specialises in energy and regulatory law.

He frequently advises clients on the legal regime for low-carbon and renewable fuels, the regulatory regime for hydrogen infrastructure and on all other energy law and regulatory aspects relevant for the transformation of energy supply from fossil-based to zero-carbon.

He represents companies in front of the regulatory authorities, in complaint proceedings against regulatory decisions as well as in appeal proceedings before the German Federal Court of Justice. He also advises energy companies in civil law disputes incl. representation before ordinary courts and in arbitration.

Stefan supports clients in the context of the negotiation and conclusion of trading und supply contracts as well as on compliance with REMIT. He also advises clients in relation to the EU ETS, the emissions trading regime under German law as well as the use of Voluntary Carbon Credits.
