Freshfields advises on the proposed IPO of Trainline

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) is advising Trainline and its majority shareholder KKR on its proposed IPO and premium listing on the London Stock Exchange.

The proposed IPO is expected to comprise an issue of new shares by Trainline, a sell-down by KKR and other institutional and management shareholders to institutional investors.

Trainline is the leading independent rail and coach platform globally and sells tickets to customers on behalf of 220 rail and coach carriers in the UK and Europe. Trainline also offers rail and coach booking solutions for businesses and bespoke white labelling solutions for rail carriers

The Freshfields team is being led by partners Mark Austin and Doug Smith, senior associate Rós Ní Dhubháin and associate Erin Gray. Incentives and remuneration advice is being led by partner Alice Greenwell, UK tax advice is being provided by partners May Smith and Paul Davison and US tax advice is being provided by partner Claude Stansbury.
