Global law firm Freshfields is advising Vossloh AG on its recommended cash acquisition of Cordel Group plc.

Cordel is a provider of advanced hardware and software to the global rail industry. The proposed offer for Cordel, which is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, is intended to be implemented via a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement.

Vossloh is a global leader in rail infrastructure, supplying critical components, systems and lifecycle services through three core divisions, with an increasing focus on digital solutions.

The Freshfields team is led by Meredith Bayley, Michael Black and Philipp Puetz with associates Sarah Dawoodbhoy and Lily Hilton. David Mendel, Emily Szasz, Giles Pratt and Tom McGrath advised on employment and share schemes, tax, IP and data, and antitrust and competition matters respectively.
