Alejandra is a senior associate in our San Francisco office where she is a member of the firm’s strategic risk and crisis management practice. Her practice focuses on representing clients navigating high-profile government investigations, including investigations by the FTC and Congress, and designing and managing sensitive internal investigations. Ale works on a broad range of tech and data issues, including compliance with federal sectoral and state privacy laws, implementing cybersecurity governance structures, managing data breach response, and advising on content moderation practices. She also has experience advising clients responding to law enforcement investigations and requests for data.
During law school, Ale supported asylum and refugee applicants as a member of the International Refugee Assistance Project, co-authored a textbook for Afghan law students with Stanford’s Rule of Law Program, and served as a clerk for the Honorable Chief Justice Sam Rugege of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Rwanda. Prior to law school, she worked on a business operations team at Google for five years.
- Represented several multinational technology companies in FTC, Congressional, and state Attorney General investigations into data privacy, content moderation, and advertising practices;
- Advised multiple companies on responses and mitigation to open-source vulnerabilities, business email compromises, and other cyber attacks; and
- Advised a leading technology platform regarding risk assessment and mitigation for its law enforcement response compliance program.
