Freshfields advises General Atlantic on Hg investment into Argus Media
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised General Atlantic (‘GA’) on the investment that Hg, the manager of HgCapital Trust plc, is making into Argus Media (‘Argus’), a leading global provider of energy and commodity price reporting.
HgCapital Trust plc is investing in Argus through the Hg Saturn Fund, with other institutional Hg clients investing alongside it. Hg will become a joint shareholder in Argus, alongside Adrian Binks, Chief Executive and Chairman, General Atlantic (GA) and the management team.
The Freshfields team was led by partners Julian Pritchard and Victoria Sigeti, who were supported by tax partner Helen Lethaby.
This transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
