Freshfields advises Total on the acquisition of Chevron Denmark

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Total SA (‘Total’) on the acquisition of Chevron Denmark Inc. (‘Chevron’), including Chevron’s 12 per cent share of the Danish Underground Consortium (‘DUC’), a 12 per cent interest in Danish License 8/06, and a 13.5 per cent interest in the Tyra West pipeline.

The transaction increases Total’s operated share of DUC from 31.2 per cent to 43.2 per cent. Freshfields’ advice on this transaction follows on from advising Total on its 2018 acquisition of Maersk Oil for US$7.45bn.

The Freshfields team advising on the deal was led by partners Graham Watson, Jérôme Philippe, senior associate Alex Calloway, and counsel Aude-Charlotte Guyon.
