Freshfields advises Verisk on “Strategic partnership with SAP to re-imagine product compliance solutions”

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Verisk, a leading data analytics provider, on the acquisition of SAP’s Content as a Service (CaaS) business and a strategic partnership with SAP to co-develop product compliance solutions.

According to the announcement made on Monday, the acquisition “significantly accelerates Verisk 3E’s efforts to become a premier provider of integrated content, expertise and services for the EHS and product compliance industry and expedites its growth strategy”. The completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Verisk (Nasdaq: VRSK), which is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, is a leading data analytics provider serving customers in insurance, energy, financial services, and specialised markets. Verisk 3E, a subsidiary of Verisk, delivers intelligent compliance solutions that empower companies to reduce risk, drive continuous improvement, and create new growth opportunities. 

The Freshfields team is being led by partner Lars Meyer (Corporate/M&A) and also includes partners Valerie Jacob and Torsten Schreier (Corporate/M&A), René Döring (People & Rewards), Martin Schiessl (Tax) and Frank Röhling (Competition).
