Caroline is a senior associate in the firm’s Securities and Shareholder Litigation practice based out of New York. She represents clients in high-stakes securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation, with a focus on complex matters involving public companies and financial institutions.
Prior to joining Freshfields, she was an associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where she led and supported litigation teams in federal and state court proceedings. Her work included defending biotechnology, aerospace, and software companies in securities class actions, managing AAA arbitration proceedings, and conducting internal investigations. She also served as lead associate in a $30 million arbitration involving federal securities law claims and advised a special litigation committee for a COVID-19 testing company.
Caroline began her legal career at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, where she handled a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including restructuring disputes and fraud investigations. She earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a member of The University of Chicago Legal Forum and co-authored a publication on hate crime data collection.
She maintains an active pro bono practice, including successfully representing pro bono clients on behalf of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Immigration Equality, and has served as a long-term attorney mentor for Legal Outreach Inc.
