Freshfields advises on Hong Kong’s first-ever SPAC listing application
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) is providing Hong Kong and US law advice to Aquila Acquisition Corporation, which is the first special purpose acquisition company to submit a listing application to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since new rules allowing such listings came into force on 1 January 2022.
The Freshfields team advising on the transaction is being led by partners Teresa Ko, Grace Huang and Arun Balasubramanian, supported by senior associate Cindy Kwong and associates Candice Ma, Jessica Chan and Randa Leung.
