Freshfields wins Restructuring and Insolvency Team of the Year at The British Legal Awards 2019

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) is delighted to announce that the firm has won ‘Restructuring and Insolvency Team of the Year’ at The British Legal Awards 2019. The annual awards recognise the exceptional achievements of law firms across the industry.  
The ‘Restructuring Team of the Year’ commended the team for the cross-practice and multijurisdictional advice it provided mining and metals business Nyrstar with regards to its complex restructuring. 
Richard Tett, London head of restructuring and insolvency said: “I am delighted that the Freshfields team has been recognised for our work with Nyrstar. The team worked closely with Nyrstar every step of the way on a number of complex problems in an incredibly intense environment across Europe, the US and beyond. Partners Aled Batey, Keir MacLennan and senior associate Tamara Young were honoured on the night as part of the ‘40 under 40: Rising Stars in Private Equity Awards’ list which identifies the best up-and-coming lawyers in UK and European private equity. 
The awards took place at in London at The Ballroom Southbank on November 21st 2019.
