Eva Schneider is an associate in our global transactions group and specialises in finance law and financial regulation.
Based on her background in law, business and economics, Eva advises clients on a broad range of finance products and finance transactions. She also guides banks, investment firms, payment service providers, asset managers, insurance companies and other regulated entities in Austrian and EU financial regulatory matters.
Eva is a member of the firm's global fintech team and CEE country group. She has been published in a number of legal journals and regularly presents internally and externally on finance and regulatory matters.
She speaks German, English, French and Italian.

- Advising a CEE-based bank and its affiliates on the true sale securitisation of loan and lease receivables in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
- Advising an Austrian car financing institution and a German bank on a €100m true sale securitisation via a Luxembourg SPV, including the SPV's refinancing through notes and a multicurrency credit facility.
- Advising an Austrian holding company in the automotive sector on several fixed and floating rate €500m Schuldscheine with 84 primary investors.
- Advising UniCredit Bank Austria AG and 17 other international lenders on a €477.2m facility provided to Austria-based refractory market leader RHI AG for the acquisition of its Brazilian competitor Magnesita Refratários S.A.
- Advising a Russian bank group on a €119m loan granted to a real estate investor active across Europe in connection with the acquisition of a prime real estate in Vienna.
- Advising Oberbank AG on the first export financing framework agreement with Iranian banks since the easing of sanctions at the beginning of 2016, allowing for individually tailored loans guaranteed by Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG.
- Advising an international car manufacturing group on the largest restructuring of a Portuguese non-bank group in the country's history.
- Advising global payment services providers, investment firms and asset management firms on the intended sale of parts of their European business as well as on their terms and conditions and contractual relations.
- Advising a major Austrian bank on the successful cross-border passporting of its banking license in the course of the establishment of a branch in Germany.
- Advising numerous Austrian and international credit and financial institutions, investment firms, payment institutions and insurance companies on regulatory matters, including capital requirements, compliance, fit & proper, remuneration, corporate governance, outsourcing, anti-money laundering as well as related investigations and regulatory proceedings.

Professional experience
Before joining the firm, Eva worked in the European Parliament’s legal service (unit for economic and monetary affairs) in Brussels, the Austrian trade commission in Seoul, an Austria-based bank as well as courts and authorities in Vienna.
