About Christian Schmidt
Christian is a Principal Associate in our tax group and his practice covers all aspects of national and international tax law. He specialises in advising on tax aspects of M&A transactions, corporate restructurings and reorganisations as well as real estate transactions. Moreover, Christian provides tax advice for both lenders and borrowers in all tax-related areas of corporate finance.

- Advising banks in a syndicated financing with a sustainability component for Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG
- Advising a consortium of lenders of LEONI AG, a listed cable and wire harness manufacturer headquartered in Germany with operations around the world, in connection with the restructuring of approximately EUR 1.6 billion of debt
- Advising Apera on financing an acquisition of certain DMS Group companies
- Advising Vonovia SE on sale of stake in "Südewo" portfolio for €1 billion
- Advising banks on a EUR 4.1 billion equivalent acquisition bridge facility for Messer SE & Co. KGaA
- Advising a consortium of banks on an €800 million revolving ESG-linked credit facility (RCF) for Vitesco Technologies Group AG
