Samuel is an associate in our Rome antitrust, competition and trade group.

His practice covers a wide range of EU/Italian competition law and regulatory areas, including antitrust investigations, merger control proceedings, Digital Markets Act, EU antitrust and regulatory litigation, and foreign investment regulation. 

Prior to joining Freshfields, he worked for an Italian law firm specialising in corporate and insolvency law and as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Trento. He also worked as a Blue-Book trainee at the European Commission's DG Competition and as a legal consultant for an international organisation.
