About Sam Naylor

Sam is an associate in our London-based energy and infrastructure team and is a member of our global transactions group.

Sam has experience advising lenders and sponsors on project financings, as well as advising a variety of parties in the energy and resources sectors, including on matters of environmental and nuclear law.

During his time at Freshfields, Sam has been seconded to our Singapore office for six months.

Sam is also a member of the UK Environmental Law Association.

Recent work

  • Advising a consortium of lenders in relation to the financing of an LNG port facility in the Sultanate of Oman.
  • Advising the sponsor on the development of a bulk liquids terminal in the Suez Canal special economic zone in Egypt.
  • Advising a nuclear fuel supplier on the risks of claims for third party liability falling outside of the Paris Convention's channelling regime
