About Dr. Simone Kämpfer

Dr Simone Kämpfer is a partner in our White-Collar Defence and Global Investigations departments. She heads our firm's White Collar Defence practice in the Central Europe region.

Before joining our firm in 2018, Simone Kämpfer worked as a public prosecutor (including in the white-collar crime department, where she was also a press officer) and as a criminal defence lawyer in a leading white-collar criminal law boutique. She is one of the most respected criminal defence lawyers in Germany.

Simone Kämpfer defends companies and individuals in complex commercial and tax criminal proceedings in and out of court. She also has extensive experience in advising companies in all areas of commercial criminal law (particularly in matters relating to breach of trust, corruption, fraud, money laundering, insider trading and foreign trade law) as well as in compliance issues and the conduct of internal company investigations (including MeToo cases). She acts as a lawyer of trust and ombudsperson for international undertakings. She also specialises in advising clients regarding parliamentary investigation committees of the German Bundestag and state parliaments.

She is a member of the Supervisory Board of Droege Group AG, a member of the Board of Trustees of Bucerius Law School, the ECLE (Economy, Criminal Law, Ethics) and the firm's ethics committee.

Simone Kämpfer regularly gives lectures, publishes on criminal law and criminal procedure law and is a member of commercial criminal law and liability magazine ZWH's Executive Advisory Board.
