About Eid-Daniel Jadon

Eid is a Senior Associate in the London dispute resolution group, specialising in litigation and global investigations. Eid has experience advising on High Court and Court of Appeal litigation, international arbitration and both internal and regulatory corporate investigations.

During his time at Freshfields, Eid has spent six months in Freshfields’ Hong Kong office, where he worked in the dispute resolution team.

Recent work

Eid’s recent experience includes:

  • defending a major international investment company in connection with proceedings in the Commercial Court (Edgeworth Capital (Luxembourg) Sarl v. Aabar Investments PJS [2018] EWHC 1627 (Comm));
  • acting for a global FinTech in Commercial Court proceedings concerning the interpretation of a Material Adverse Effect clause in the context of a share purchase agreement (Travelport Ltd v Wex Inc [2020] EWHC 2670 (Comm));
  • acting for an auction house in a long-running dispute in relation to various contractual claims in the English High Court and Court of Appeal (Sotheby’s v Mark Weiss Limited and Others [2019] EWHC 3416 (Comm) and Sotheby's v (1) Mark Weiss Ltd (2) Fairlight Art Ventures LLP [2020] EWCA Civ 1570);
  • acting on behalf of a consortium of lenders in linked Commercial Court anti-suit and arbitration proceedings (Africa Finance v Aiteo [2022] EWHC 768 (Comm));
  • advising corporates in relation to investigations by the UK Serious Fraud Office;
  • conducting internal investigations for multi-national corporates in relation to allegations of bribery and corruption;
  • acting in a high value arbitration for a leading technology company involving significant disputes of fact and law; and
  • assisting clients with transactional risk management and due diligence, in particular with respect to compliance risk
