Liviu is a UK qualified associate in our Global Transactions team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
He advises soverign wealth fund and private equity clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, corporate governance and general corporate law matters. Prior to joining Freshfields, Liviu trained and worked at a leading firm in London.
Recent work
- A number of high-profile sovereign wealth funds on a variety of matters including private equity and energy & infrastructure investments, disposals and restructurings in the US, UK and Europe.
- DSV A/S on a $10 billion exclusive logistics joint venture to support the development of the ambitious projects taking shape in NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Kuwait Projects Company on the disposal of its entire interest in Gulf Insurance Group (GIG) to a Fairfax Financial for $860 million.
- Alpha Dhabi Holding on its joint venture arrangements with MonteRock International, and the subsequent acquisition of interests in several luxury F&B Brands: Nammos, Ce La Vi and Em Sherif.
- A leading national oil company (NOC) on various of its joint-venture arrangements, including the development of a large-scale Methanol facility.
