Lorand is an internationally recognised expert in trade law, having taught and published on many areas of trade law for two decades. He is also well abreast of current issues as an editor of the leading monographs series and several academic journals in the field.
Lorand has advised several governments (including the UK) on trade law matters on topics ranging from customs duties to airport taxes, agricultural regulation, industrial subsidies and national security.
He has also advised private clients on trade law matters including trade remedies, technical barriers to trade, digital trade, services regulation and mutual recognition.
Lorand also delivered FTA negotiations training through expert and practitioner level courses on trade law for hundreds of trade negotiators across all UK government departments, and also for Australian government officials.
