Vacation schemes
Our three-week summer vacation scheme offers first-hand experience of Freshfields' work and culture. You will engage in real tasks, group exercises, and social events with associates and partners.
Penultimate-year undergraduates of any degree and second-year students in a four-year course are eligible to apply. This is a paid placement so you must have the right to work in the UK. If you have a visa to study in the UK, you’ll need to ensure that our vacation scheme falls outside of your term time.
At the end of the three-week vacation scheme, you’ll have an interview for a place on our trainee associate programme. You’ll also be assessed during the scheme.
The application process is straightforward. Complete our form and write an 850-word personal statement. Shortlisted candidates undertake the Watson Glaser test, assessing critical-thinking skills, followed by a half-day assessment centre. See our application process page for tips and guidance.
