Vacation placements
We will be accepting applications for our 2009 scheme between 17 November 2008 and 16 January 2009.
Our 2009 scheme dates are:
- 23 March - 9 April
- 22 June - 10 July
- 13 July - 31 July
- 3 August - 21 August
These schemes are intended to give candidates who think they might like to be solicitors a taste of what it's like to work in a large commercial firm.
You will spend three weeks in one of the London office's eight departments. Your choice, which we do our best to accommodate, lies between the corporate; finance; dispute resolution; real estate; tax; IP/IT; employment, pensions & benefits; and antitrust, competition & trade departments. We also offer a series of talks designed to tell you about those areas of the firm in which you do not get first-hand experience, and a case study designed to give you an insight into a typical commercial transaction.
There are also, of course, a number of social events which give you the opportunity to meet lawyers already working here.
The salary for the three-week placement is £825 (net).
