Environment, planning and regulatory
Vanessa advises on planning, environmental and regulatory issues in relation to corporate and financial transactions, litigation and the development and operation of infrastructure and energy projects.
Her practice has a particular focus on nuclear energy. Vanessa advises clients at all stages of the nuclear fuel cycle and she works closely with the World Nuclear Association's Nuclear Law and Contracting group.
She also advises on a range of public law issues, including in relation to contracts with government entities and judicial review challenges. Vanessa's regulatory practice also involves advice and litigation with respect to the regulation of consumer products.
Vanessa is a member of the Consulting Editorial Board for LexisPSL Environmental.
Career to date
Vanessa practised at Freehills in Melbourne and Perth, Australia, from 2001 until 2006, when she joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London.
