Don Stokes is a partner based between our Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore offices. Don represents international companies and financial institutions on complex major investments and financings in ASEAN countries, in particular Vietnam. He focuses on regulated sectors including infrastructure, energy, banking and telecoms. Don was named 'Infrastructure Lawyer of the Year' at The Asian Lawyer Emerging Markets Awards 2014.
Don is qualified as a solicitor in England and is admitted to the New York State Bar. He worked for several years in Freshfields’ London, New York and Tokyo offices.
Don Stokes joined the Ho Chi Minh City office in mid 2015. He demonstrates a wealth of experience advising international lenders on the financing of Vietnamese projects and has assisted major oil and gas corporates on acquisitions and disposals in the region. Clients appreciate that Stokes remains "at the forefront on the day-to-day issues."
