Alexander Goepfert is a partner who has wide experience covering development and structuring of property-related transactions and construction business. He is also an expert in international cultural law and has advised leading auction houses and fine art dealers on the private and public international law aspects of ownership of art treasures. He is currently acting as Agent of the Principality of Liechtenstein in a case before the International Court of Justice. He has also acted as the Agent of the Reigning Prince of Liechtenstein in a dispute before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights.
Alexander studied at the universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg. He was a research fellow at the University Institute for Foreign Private Law and Private International Law in Cologne, where he lectured on subjects such as cross-border development and construction projects. He has also written a series of publications and lectured on various aspects of international law.
