Our recent experience includes acting for:

  • a UK oilfield services company on the impact of US sanctions on activities in Cuba;
  • a major investment bank on UN/EU sanctions relating to investment in the Sudan;
  • British Gas Exploration and Production on its participation in the tender process for exploration for oil and natural gas fields in Tunisia and Libya, which was subject to the UN sanctions regime against Libya;
  • PSG International and Shell on US and UN sanctions against Iran, in connection with the TransCaspian Gas Pipeline project;
  • a group of international companies in relation to activities in Afghanistan;
  • an international investment bank on a planned financing of a gold mine project in an African state; and
  • a UK company on the setting up of a representative office in Libya.
