  • BNFL on the rights to freedom of navigation by vessels carrying nuclear material;
  • the government of Eritrea in its dispute over the violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations with Ethiopia;
  • a UK industrial company on an arbitration under a regional marine environmental protection convention;
  • the government of Malaysia and Petronas on title to offshore oil and gas reserves;
  • the International Air Transport Association on a range of issues involving the Chicago Convention and the International Civil Aviation Organisation;
  • several companies on issues relating to the awarding of contracts in post-war Iraq; the legal status of the interim Iraqi governing council; and potential claims against the current or future government of Iraq for recovery of debts and by the previous regime;
  • the African Development Bank on issues relating to sovereign immunity as they affect the Bank�s operations;
  • Croplife International, a trade association representing major manufacturers of genetically modified seed and other products, in relation to ongoing negotiations towards a protocol of liability to be developed under the Cartagena Biosafety Protocol to the Convention on Biological Diversity;
  • EWS on possible breaches by the UK and French governments of international obligations relating to immigration control and security under the Sangatte agreement on the Channel Tunnel;
  • a major tobacco manufacturer in relation to the negotiation within the World Health Organisation of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control;
  • several international financial institutions and a number of energy companies on international corporate social responsibility issues;
  • a major investment bank on possible exposures to civil liability arising out a proposed financing of very large oil tankers;
  • the government of a federal state and its national oil corporation relating to title issues to onshore and offshore oil and gas resources;
  • Inmarsat on the treaty law aspects of its privatisation; and
  • a UK shipowner on its obligations in international and national law to persons unlawfully aboard its vessels.
