Some recent examples of our construction and industrial engineering arbitration work include acting for:

• a consortium of major international oil and gas companies in an UNCITRAL arbitration arising from the defective construction of upstream oil and gas facilities at one of the world's largest onshore hydrocarbon fields (value of the claims in excess of $100m);
• an energy consortium in an ICC arbitration against a construction company relating to the breach of an EPC contract to construct two pipelines in Latin America;
• Emaar, the largest real estate developer in the Middle East in ad hoc arbitration proceedings in Saudi Arabia in connection with a claim brought against it under a joint venture agreement for a real estate project in Saudi Arabia;
• a leading German construction and engineering company in ICC proceedings concerning the delivery of a steel plant and penalties incurred pursuant to a counter-trading agreement; and
• a private sector employer in an international arbitration and mediation involving claims for additional costs and delay relating to the design and construction of a major power plant in Asia.
