Experience

Dirk Hamann has been a partner since 1997 and works in our Hamburg office. He is a member of our corporate practice group and of the sector groups energy & natural resources (global cohead for power & utilities) as well as infrastructure funds/projects. His areas of practice include corporate law, mergers & acquisitions (private and public, private equity transactions), law regarding transformation of companies, joint ventures and privatizations.

Dirk Hamann was born in Ahrensburg, Germany, in 1963. He completed his legal education at the universities of Muenster where he obtained the degree of doctor of laws (Dr iur) and Mainz. Thereafter he was an assistant lecturer at the Institute for Energy Law, Civil Law, Trade and Commercial Law at the University of Muenster. He was a visiting attorney for Linklaters & Paines at London.

Dirk joined the firm in 1992. He speaks German and English.
