Dr Tobias Klose is a partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Tobias advises on all aspects of German and European competition law. He is the office managing partner of our Düsseldorf office.
Tobias has vast experience in advising domestic and foreign companies before the EU Commission, the Federal Cartel Office (BKartA) and before national and European courts.

Tobias studied law at the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen. He holds a PhD degree in European competition law from the Humboldt University in Berlin.
Tobias has lectured widely on European and German competition law.
Tobias joined Freshfields in 1998 and became a partner in 2003. He was seconded to the London office in 2001. Tobias speaks German, English and some Swedish.

Tobias is a co-author of the Münchener Kommentar (dealing with the European Leniency Notice), the Handbuch des Kartellrechts (on German procedural antitrust law as well as appeals on points of law), and the Frankfurter Kommentar (on the right to be heard in administrative antitrust proceedings).
