Rail, road and social infrastructure

We help clients around the world on their most complex rail, road and social infrastructure transactions. All our teams have international experience and are ready to anticipate and respond rapidly to your needs.

Rail

We have the leading global rail practice. Our years of advice to governments, state procurement agencies, regulators, infrastructure investors and network providers, passenger and freight operators, locomotive and rolling stock builders, asset owners, financiers and lessors means we’re able to take a truly all-round approach. Our clients benefit from the most up-to-date thinking and best practice in areas typical to rail. In 2011 our international rail practice maintained its top tier position in the Chambers Global guide to the world’s leading lawyers.

Roads

We act on road projects all over the world. Our clients, which include governments and governmental agencies, project sponsors and project lenders and other credit providers, value our experience gained from acting on the most complex PPP/PFI transport projects and on the largest road projects worldwide.

Social infrastructure

Our experience is broad – we act on the development of hospitals, prisons, car parks and defence housing for many governments around the world. Our PPP experience enables us to consider the complex structures and offer a new perspective most suitable to our clients’ needs, rather than simply following what other governments have implemented. We also have a strong experience in secondary market transactions and often advise our clients when buying securities or assets from other investors.
