We’ve been in Japan for more than 20 years. Our office in Tokyo opened in 1988 and our first Japanese lawyers joined us ten years later.

Today we have one of the most integrated and effective law teams in Tokyo and advise a large range of local and global clients.

Our Tokyo office is a fascinating place to work. Whether you join as a lawyer, a graduate or a business services professional, you’ll be joining the team that works on some of the biggest, most high profile deals around.

Real estate

Our real estate network offers an integrated service covering all aspects of commercial property, and cross-border and domestic transactions.

We offer advice on tax efficiency, investment structures, limited partnerships, unit trusts, open and closed-ended funds, property finance, and methods of financing larger projects. We also advise on environmental, construction, planning and corporate law around the world.

Our real estate group works with our tax, finance and corporate lawyers on areas that are often integral to the structuring of major real estate projects.

Our people

More than 30 lawyers work in our Tokyo office. Two thirds are bengoshi – lawyers admitted in Japan – who bring in-depth local knowledge to our team.
