Most of our work falls into three categories: advice, transactions, litigation. It’s mostly difficult deals or problems, almost always international.
We help clients buy and sell businesses and other assets, set up new and joint ventures, and merge and form consortia. We help them raise finance, launch investment products and reward and protect their workforce.
The firm covers these main areas of practice: antitrust, competition and trade; corporate; dispute resolution; employment, pensions and benefits; finance; intellectual property/information technology; real estate; and tax.
We help them defend their rights and ward off competitors. And we work for governments and financial institutions too.
To sum up, think large-scale complexity.
Our Global Centre
Freshfields wants to be the law firm that clients turn to for help on crucial legal and commercial issues, wherever in the world they may be. We aim to deliver seamless service across borders, cultures and languages, and the launch of our Freshfields Global Centre is central to this vision.
We have chosen Manchester as the site of our first Global Centre. Our aspiration is to establish two further sites – one in the US and one in Asia-Pacific – giving our lawyers the worldwide 24/7 support they need to deliver excellent client service.
