International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is advising BG Group, the FTSE 100 global energy company, on the sale of its 60.1% holding in Comgás, Brazil’s largest gas distribution company. Cosan, the integrated sugar, ethanol and renewables group and one of the largest private sector groups in Brazil, will pay Brazilian reais 3.4 billion in cash (approximately US$1.7 billion) on closing.
