"The Freshfields selection process really impressed me. The firm was quick to tell me I was successful. From the first tests to learning my results took less than two weeks. The initial tests were written assessments, translating from Chinese to English, and then writing a memorandum. It's important that you feel confident working in English.
Once I passed this, it was onto the interview phase. I was nervous, but as soon as I entered the room, the partners put me at ease. Everyone was smiling, approachable, friendly and willing to have a chat. They were genuinely interested in me, my interests, potential, and thoughts about what I wanted from my career.
