US summer associates
At Freshfields, we are delighted to give US summer associates the opportunity to work with us in our Hong Kong office.
As part of the programme, we encourage these students to spend time in London or the US, to benefit from the experience of working in different jurisdictions. At every step, we aim to tailor the programme to each student’s specific needs, while providing you with hands-on experience of transactions and projects.
The programme
The twelve-week programme provides second-year JD law students with the opportunity to experience life within a large law firm. Your programme will commence with an induction in Hong Kong, and the US or London, depending on when you join. Throughout your programme, we will also invite you to formal training sessions and provide you with responsibility for transactions and projects.
As the programme is relatively small, we are able to tailor the experience and ensure it is relevant and rewarding for each participant. You will work primarily with the US team in Hong Kong and China, however, we also encourage you to spend time in the US or UK, as part of the programme.
