Past deals include
- Kinetics – Citigroup and HSBC as the financial advisors to the Hong Kong Government,
on the merger of MTR Corporation and KCRC.
- Hutchison Telecom on the sale of its 67 per cent interest in Hutchison Essar, India’s
fourth largest mobile phone operator, to Vodafone. The transaction had an enterprise
value of approximately $19bn.
- Alibaba.com on its US$1.7bn Hong Kong IPO and global offering on the Hong Kong Stock
Exchange.
- Acting for the Brunei Investment Agency in its successful proceedings to enforce
the terms of a billion dollar settlement which it had entered into with HRH Prince
Jefri in relation to the misappropriation of funds from the BIA. Having won in the
High Court of Brunei, HRH Prince Jefri unsuccessfully appealed first to the Brunei
Court of Appeal and then to the UK Privy Council.

Training contract
- 8–10 two-year training contracts offered annually in Hong Kong
- Flexible seat rotation: 6 month seat in Corporate, 3 month seat in Finance and up
to 5 other seats of 3 months
- Secondment to Beijing or Shanghai office for 3 months, and to London office for
6 months
- Career development programme
- Salary: currently $HK 43, 000 monthly for first year, and $HK 45, 000 for second
year – salary reviewed annually
