Delivering a high quality of service doesn't stop at knowing the law. You will work in teams, often consisting of colleagues from various countries. You will need to present your findings or arguments to a client, a judge or your colleagues in a way that is both understandable and convincing. You will have to manage your work and your time. You will be managing a secretary and, at a later stage, junior colleagues and will need to be able to give effective feedback. You will be establishing new client relationships and building on existing relationships.

For these and other skills we have developed a series of five international development programmes for all our lawyers worldwide. You can expect to attend these programmes roughly once every two years. Each programme is tailor-made for a specific level of seniority. We get very positive feedback from the associates who have participated in these programmes.

Apart from helping our people develop useful skills, the development programmes are another opportunity to get to know your international colleagues better.
